Coaches – Small Sided Games Conference

Feb 7th, 2010 | By Fergus | Category: Football

The following coaching event is open to all Blackhall Primary coaches, but is probably most appropriate for P3/4 coaches just starting to play matches.

Details of the Scottish FA South East Region’s annual small-sided games coaching conference have now been confirmed:

What: Small-Sided Games Coaching Conference
When: Saturday 27th February 2010, 12 noon – 5pm
Where: Hearts Training Academy, Heriot-Watt University
Course Schedule

This free event is in addition to the certified coach education courses offered in the region. We are keen to provide additional content to coaches who are interested in further advancing their knowledge of the game.

The conference will focus on developing young football players aged 12 and under (although content will also be relevant to all age groups), with a focus on developing individual technique as well as training sessions based on specific themes.

The day will include practical demonstrations as well as topical discussions and will be delivered by some excellent guest coaches including Scottish FA head of youth development, Neil Mackintosh, and Dundee United Children’s Academy manager, Ian Cathro.

Neil and Ian will also be joined by Scottish FA licensed coaches and tutors, David Sheldon and Keith Wright, who will deliver a host of practical sessions.

We anticipate that demand will be high, so encourage any interested coaches to book early. To confirm your booking, please return the attached application form to Scottish FA South East Region, McArthur Pavilion, 42 Peffermill Road, Edinburgh, EH16 5LL.
