Blackhall School Cross Country 2011/12

P6 and P7 pupils have once again performed very well in the various cross country events this year.

In the Edinburgh and Lothian Cross Country League the girls team finished second just behind Mary Erskines and the boys finished 3rd. Julia Laughland was the 2nd individual girl.

In the relay event our team of Julia Laughland, Catherine Bough and Nicola Crinigean were first, beating all the girls teams AND all the boys teams!!

Well done to the following pupils who performed so well each Wednesday afternoon:

Julia Laughland, Catherine Bough, Nicola Crinigean, Anna MacFarlane, Jemima Walls, Felicity Flannagan, Erin Brown, Kim Middlemiss, Sarah Harris, Lucy, Col Maxwell Hunter, Joe Lyall, Andrew Rolland, Josh Vernon, Jamie Cunningham, Daniel Harrison, Corann Henderson, Scott Palmer, Stan Ashcroft, Jake Mitchell, Duncan MacDonald, and Finlay Ringer.

In the Edinburgh Schools Championships again the P7 girls won the team shield through Julia finishing 3rd, Catherine 4th and Nicola not far behind. The P6 boys and girls and the P7 boys all ran very well.

The biggest event of the season is the Scottish Schools Cross Country Championships which took place on 21st April. The P7 girls received the 3rd team prize only a couple of points behind the winners. Once again the P6 girls and boys and the P7 boys performed well on a very tough, muddy course. Well done to Julia Laughland, Catherine Bough, Nicola Crinigean, Yesmin Walton, Holly Smith, Col Maxwell Hunter, Josh Vernon, Scott Palmer, Gregor Ashworth, Jake Mitchell, Anna MacFarlane, Felicity Flannagan, Jemima Walls, Loulou Teden, Erin Brown, Andrew Rolland, Daniel Harrison, Jamie Cunningham and Daniel Strathdee.
