Public Meeting: Tuesday 28 February 7.30pm St Columba’s Small Hall

Special Focus on people aged 50+ in Blackhall.

We are delighted to welcome a guest speaker from Community Connecting, specialists in supporting people to stay active and connected to their local communities. Older people across Edinburgh enjoy activities such as cinema and theatre clubs, local walks, swimming or cycling buddy schemes, walking football, seated exercise and indoor iceless curling. We will consider the following questions:

* What activities would you like to see in Blackhall?
* Can we use local facilities such as Ravelston Park to deliver more opportunities for older people?

All are welcome – we look forward to seeing you there.

Blackhall Community Celebration and Coffee Morning

You are warmly invited to join our Community Celebration of Blackhall groups and organisations at a coffee morning:
Blackhall Primary School
Saturday 29th October – 10-12noon

We are very fortunate in the wide range of activities that we can enjoy in our community, many of which are run by hard-working volunteers. Come along and find out about what is available locally, and enjoy a coffee and some home-baking in our fundraising pop up café.
There will also be stalls run by some of the groups with produce for sale.

You can also find out more about the fledgling Blackhall Community Trust!

A PSA Gardening Day will also be taking place in the school grounds, so bring some gloves if you fancy helping out as well.

We look forward to seeing you on 29 October.
If you are involved in a group/organisation and would like to book a table, please drop me an email.
All best wishes

Blackhall Dip Christmas Event

On Thursday 3rd December the Blackhall Dip will once again host a variety of stalls/activities, to mark the switching-on of the local Xmas tree lights.

Well worth a wander along with the family to sample some local Xmas festivities.
6pm onwards – Beside the shops at the junction of Craigcrook Road/Keith Row and Queensferry Road.

Blackhall Xmas dip – last year’s entertainment

“Carols, lights and stalls all give a wonderfully festive night.
A whole host of Christmas stalls will be set up in the Blackhall Dip bringing together a fabulous range of seasonal goodies in a fantastic festive atmosphere. Stock up on those gift essentials while enjoying Christmas Carols, mince pies and complimentary drinks from the local Blackhall traders.
Why not bring the children along and visit Santa all for a small donation to charity. There’s no need to book, just turn up and enjoy a taste of Christmas.”
